Join us for Member Monday on March 26 to hear Rifat Filkins, executive director of RISSE, discuss efforts to help people coming to Albany from foreign countries. RISSE, which is based in our Pine Hills neighborhood, is the Refugee and Immigrant Support Services of Emmaus. It assists families in building their new lives in the United States.
RISSE participants need a variety of items, including disposable paper items that cannot be purchased with assistance they receive. We will collect the following:
Paper towels, toilet paper, disposable diapers (all sizes) children’s socks (all sizes), children’s underwear (small, medium, large; no extra large), adult’s socks and men and women’s underwear (small, medium, large, no extra large). Also, printer paper for use in RISSE’s office
If you wish to donate, please bring items to the WCA no later than Member Monday on March 26.
