Together Women Rise

This month's grant recipient is Sustaining Africa Projects in Uganda, Malawi, Kenya, organized by the Mooncatcher Project (www.mooncatcher.org/).

The goal, according to Together Women Rise,  is to "help young girls stay in school and complete their educations by giving them the tools to manage their menstural periods with confidence and dignity."

Our event is a potluck dinner with a small educational component. Money that otherwise would be spent on going out to dinner instead is donated to the project.
