This month's grant recipient is Upaya Social Ventures, which supports companies creating dignified jobs for people in extreme poverty in India. It focuses on the disproportionate impact of extreme poverty on women and the widening wage gap in rural India.
Our program is a potluck dinner with a small educational component. Money that otherwise would be spent on going out to dinner is donated instead. Over the past several years, we have raised just over $49,000 for Together Women Rise.
